I began my life in music as most musicians do…in my heart and soul.
I went from playing the family broom at the tender age of 4, to maturing into a seasoned bass guitarist. I was privileged to sit at the feet of American music legends Motown’s James Jamerson and From Sly & the Family Stone, Larry Graham. I was also honored to work with and learn from one of the “Master Architects” of The Motown Sound, the late Norman Whitfield. I’ve recorded and or played for such luminaries as Side Effect, Edwin Starr, The Undisputed Truth, the late James Cleveland, the Emotions and Ike and Tina Turner to name just a few.
My radio career began over 25 years ago in Chicago on WVAZ /V103. My travels include WTLC in Indianapolis, two stations in Washington DC, WMMJ DC and WHUR; three thriving years in Dallas, TX on KRBV/V100 and the Smooth Jazz of KOAI “The Oasis.” I returned home to Chicago and was the voice of the “Quiet Storm” on Chicago’s V103 for five successful years. In the years 2004 & 2005 I received two consecutive nominations as R&R’s Urban Adult Contemporary Personality/ Show of the Year
